Secrets of a Diabetic Diet That Works

I have always known of the word diabetes. It runs in the family. When I was a child, this led me to think that there must be some disastrous genetic link, and of course I must be doomed to follow in the footsteps of the known dead.
Later with a back ground in biology, I now know that diabetes is a metabolic disease, and so when my mother was diagnosed with diabetes and hated the process of taking 2 shots of insulin a day, I intervened.
I offered to write a series of recipes for her after discovering and making a detailed study of a book called The Glycemic Index. Because of my back ground in cell biology this book made great sense, seemed plausible and I felt it would be successful simple because of the facilitative way of choosing.
Diabetics need to eat often and make the correct choice in order to improve their metabolism and keep blood sugar balanced. So you see, with mastering choice you are not doom to eating bland sugarless packaged food - just a shift to making more successful, expert eating choices.

The path to success with diabetes is paves with lots of meals. Plan to Daily eat this way Breakfast - Snack - Lunch- Snack and Dinner. This, along with small portion sizes is the main secret. Let you portion size be 1 or 2 of your handfuls of any serving. You are doing this because skipping meals disrupts metabolic function for diabetics.
First you must search your conscience and believe that this fundamental choice to completely revise your eating is what you desire. If it is, then put this process to test with the right choice of food and you are success bound... with a diabetic diet that works.
Eating this way increases metabolic rate, and you will be surprised that with all this eating you will begin to lose weight and to feel much better. Expect you sugar to become so stable that insulin shots might be unnecessary. Your doctor will declare you a "diet dependent diabetic" (DDD) and you would need no drugs if you keep on with this eating regimen.
Here is what I found. Once you decide to change your rhythm of eating, it is easier for your mind to accept a change in choice of food. For instance you now have to plan for 2 extra eating occasions - the snacks in between the meals. This is where I introduce eating only the correct portion of fresh fruit in the morning and non sugary snacks at tea time like nuts, seeds, dried fruit and high fiber sweet breads, and even dark chocolate and of course water and tea.
You can do this with assurance! I have shared recipes tips, pictures, menu guides and food facts all of which is vitally necessary; in my book - Eat Yourself Younger Effortlessly. I it a virtual blue print on how to take charge of your aging and any eating regimen in the event that your blood sugar and other measurements associated with food get out of hand - like diabetes that surface in relation to food. You can even use this way of eating as a proactive method to stay disease free, feel great and look good as you grow older. By now you might be curious about how long my mother lived as a (DDD)
She lived 20 years longer and died peacefully at 103 of natural causes in her bed at home. She never even used a wheel chair. I believe some people might call this reversing you diabetes.
